Frequently Asked Questions

How do I create a podcast?

Open the app and go to the Create tab. Type a topic, choose Solo or Multi-voice, optionally pick a voice and length, then tap Generate. We'll write the script, narrate it, and put the finished episode in your library.

How long does generation take?

Most episodes finish in 1 to 3 minutes. Longer episodes or multi-voice formats can take a bit more. You can leave the Create screen while it renders — you'll get a push notification when it's ready.

Can I keep my podcasts private?

Yes. Set Private when you create the episode, or toggle it later from the episode menu. Private episodes don't appear in trending or search and aren't visible to other users.

What voices are available?

Thirteen AI voices in different tones and styles, including some that work well for narration and others tuned for conversational multi-voice formats. Free includes 6 voices; Premium and Pro unlock all 13.

How accurate is the AI script?

Scripts are AI-generated and grounded in real sources, but they can still get things wrong. Treat episodes like a smart friend explaining a topic from memory — interesting and well-organized, sometimes off on details. Don't rely on a Podcast AI episode as the sole source for medical, legal, financial, or safety decisions.

How do I cancel my subscription?

On iOS, go to Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions, find Podcast AI, and tap Cancel. Access continues through the end of the period you've already paid for. Refunds are handled by Apple.

How do I restore my subscription on a new device?

Open the paywall (any locked feature will open it) and tap Restore purchases at the bottom. This re-validates your Apple ID's purchase history.

How do I delete my account?

Tap the profile icon, go to Settings, scroll to Delete Account, and confirm. This removes your profile, every episode you've created (audio + metadata), saved-episode lists, device tokens, subscription record, avatar, and Firebase Auth user. The action is permanent and cannot be undone.

Why did my generation fail?

The most common causes:

  • Topic blocked by content policy. If your topic touches something on our prohibited list (illegal activity, instructions for harm, etc.), we'll refuse it. Try rephrasing.
  • Network drop. Generation needs ~30–60 seconds of connectivity. If your connection drops mid-way, retry on stable Wi-Fi or LTE.
  • Upstream model rate-limit. During peak hours we occasionally hit a third-party rate limit. Wait a minute and retry.

If a topic keeps failing, send us the topic text using the form below and we'll look at the logs.
