Podcast AI

Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 2026

Delta Metrics LLC ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Podcast AI mobile app and the website at podcast.deltametricsai.com. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect when you use Podcast AI, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. What Podcast AI does

Podcast AI lets you generate audio podcast episodes from a topic you provide. The app sends your topic and preferences to our servers, which produce a script (using OpenAI's language models) and narrate it as audio (using OpenAI's text-to-speech models). The finished episode is stored in your account so you can listen to it, share it, download it, or delete it.

2. Information we collect

Account information. When you sign up, we collect your phone number for SMS verification (handled by Firebase Authentication) and a randomly assigned user ID. You can optionally add a display name and profile photo.

Content you create. Topics you submit, generation settings (length, voice, format), and the resulting scripts and audio files. We store these in Firebase Firestore (text) and Firebase Storage (audio + cover images) so the app can play them back across your devices.

Listening and engagement data. Which episodes you play, save, share, and download. Aggregate play and share counts on public episodes. Your subscription tier and the StoreKit transaction identifiers needed to honor it.

Device and usage data. APNs push notification token (so we can tell you when an episode is ready), iOS version, app version, time zone, and the basic request logs Cloud Run keeps (IP, timestamp, response code).

We do not collect contacts, calendar, location, health data, or microphone audio. The microphone permission, if you grant it, is used only when you choose voice-driven creation; we don't store recordings.

3. How we use your information

To generate, store, and serve back the podcasts you create. To authenticate you, sync your library across devices, and apply your subscription tier. To send the push notification when an episode finishes generating, and other service-related notices you opt into. To enforce content moderation and our Terms. To diagnose bugs and improve the product. To respond when you contact support.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or for training third-party models beyond what is needed to fulfill your generation request.

4. Third-party services we share data with

OpenAI — receives your topic and any settings you provide in order to produce the script and audio for that single request. OpenAI's API terms govern that data; per their policy, prompts submitted via the API are not used to train their models.

Google / Firebase — provides authentication, Firestore database, Cloud Storage, and push notification delivery (FCM/APNs). All of your account data and generated audio lives in the Firebase project podcastaidb.

Apple — receives the StoreKit transactions when you start, renew, or cancel a subscription. We receive a verified receipt back from Apple to apply your tier.

Unsplash — used to fetch a cover photo matching your topic. We pass keywords; we don't share your account information. The photo is then re-hosted on our own storage so it stays available even if Unsplash removes it.

Resend — used to deliver feedback emails to our support inbox when you contact us through the app or website.

We may also share data when required by law (e.g., subpoena), to protect the safety or rights of users, or as part of a business transfer. In every case we limit what is shared to what is necessary.

5. Public vs private episodes

By default, episodes you generate are public — they can appear on the trending and search feeds, and other users can play, save, or share them. The script content itself is what's public; we never expose your phone number or account ID alongside an episode.

You can mark any episode private at creation or any time after. Private episodes do not appear in trending or search and are visible only to you. Public episodes are subject to community content moderation and may be removed if they violate our Terms.

6. Data retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete any individual episode from the app, which removes both the database entry and the audio file from storage.

To delete your entire account: Settings → Delete Account in the app. Confirming the prompt removes your profile, all your episodes (audio files and metadata), saved-episode lists, device tokens, subscription record, and uploaded avatar. Your Firebase Auth user is deleted at the same time. Service logs that contain only a hashed user ID may persist for up to 90 days for security and abuse-prevention purposes.

7. Children's privacy

Podcast AI is rated 12+ and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact privacy@deltametricsai.com and we will delete it.

8. Your rights

You can access, correct, or delete your data through the app. Depending on where you live (EU/UK/California, etc.), you may have additional rights to request a copy of your data or to object to certain processing. Email privacy@deltametricsai.com for any of these requests; we'll respond within 30 days.

9. Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS. Firebase Firestore and Storage encrypt data at rest. Access to backend systems is restricted to a small number of administrators using least-privilege IAM roles. No system is perfectly secure; if you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

10. International users

Our servers run in the United States (Google Cloud, us-central1). If you use Podcast AI from outside the United States, your data is transferred to and processed in the U.S. By using the app, you consent to that transfer.

11. Changes to this policy

We will post any updates here and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email where required by law. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
